There was cabin inspiration everywhere on a recent trip to Iceland! This remote A-frame cabin was near the top of a snowy mountain pass on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and we just had to stop for a photo.
It’s all in the detail no matter how large or small the hideout! This cedar clad bin store and shed increases the curb appeal of our client’s house and provides great storage for the bins and other bits and pieces. Hideout inspiration can come from anywhere... ...even the top of a mountain. We came across this modern shepherds hut when hiking in Switzerland in the summer. The cabin is used by farmers when tending their flocks in the high pastures. The materials and shape of this are awesome - and the view isn’t bad either. Always keep your eyes open for inspiration!
We do all sorts of hideouts... This project included a bar area, custom shed, covered storage area and decking. Our bespoke designs are perfect for a triangular shaped area like this in order to make the most of the space. If you go down to the woods today... ...you’re in for a delicious woodland dining experience. This mobile cabin is being used as a commercial prep kitchen by the ultimate forage feasters @nomadicdinners. Kitted out with stainless steel worktops, sinks, fridges and plenty of shelves it is the perfect space to prepare and store food before cooking on the open fires. Mobile cabins have many benefits over their permanent counterparts including flexibility to move as required and no permanent impact on the surroundings.

Now available to book.... For the next couple of months we are trialling this cabin as an off grid glamping site! The cabin is set in a beautiful orchard on a farm in Wiltshire near the world heritage site of Avebury. It is a perfect retreat for a couple of nights - the off grid setup includes hot shower and composting loo so you can still have some home comforts. We have availability from this weekend until mid autumn. DM for details about booking.
A pentagon shaped lookout creating some dramatic angles to frame the hills of Northumberland. We found this space in Kielder Forest, a place filled with incredible inspiration. Get in touch if you have a great view that you want to make the most of!
Up in Yorkshire at the historic @thepiecehall in Halifax for this build. The perfect setting for a vintage bespoke hideout. This project started with a battered old horse box which has been transformed into a beautifully stylish and flexible catering space. This refurb was fully bespoke - gates added on the ramp and a storage box on the back, along with all the catering essentials including a large serving hatch. Very happy with how this turned out and how well old meets new - swipe to see the before ➡️
Inspiration is everywhere in Northumberland! Found this eye catching lookout at Kielder Water. The square log stack shows the beauty of the timber. This effect would look great as the end of a woodland glamping cabin!
Not a bespoke hideout but definitely a great hideout for some potting and pruning There is always time to appreciate a great space and this greenhouse caught my attention today - I could happily tend tomatoes in there
This honeymoon hideout is the perfect luxury event accommodation - forget fancy hotels or pimped up bell tents, luxury cabins are the way forward! How perfect to be able to roll into bed straight from the dance floor! This cabin is completely self sufficient with a bed, kitchenette, hot shower and on board loo. A rustic kitchen for preparing hidden woodland feasts. The waney edge Douglas Fir immerses the cabin perfectly amongst the surrounding trees. Can’t wait to see the delights that get made in here!
Finishing touches complete on this multi purpose build. A children’s climbing frame on the outside, a den and secure storage area on the inside. We had a lot of fun designing and building this one!
Another completed build ✅ This statement room clad with black corrugated metal will be a yoga studio. The large sliding doors and black decking really open the space up.
Enjoying the night sky with a campfire is hard to beat, doing it at a remote cabin is even better. This cabin is built on a trailer so can be moved to your favourite stargazing location - and then moved again the next day (to your second favourite).
This bank holiday weekend has brought some great night skies! When you are considering a bespoke hideout it is always worth thinking about location and position to make the most of sunrises, sunsets and everything in between. Cheers to long weekends!
Happy with this how little transformation turned out - no space is too small for a home office. It seemed a waste to pull down a fairly new shed so we added insulation and double glazing to ensure it will stay cozy all year round.

Wriggly tin can provide a great statement cladding either on its own or contrasting with some good timber. Metal cladding works particularly well on hard to access walls - it’s great value and low maintenance.

New Year, New Garden Room. Like many of us, our client in North London is spending more time at home and is looking for a space to escape to in the garden. Our bespoke construction allows us to create the exact shape, size and change any element to meet their wishes. Finishing off the wrapping for Christmas, the elves are helping put the OSB cladding on this mobile cabin - I hope you have got all of your wrapping done.
